GetUWired takes the stage at Infusionsoft ICON 2017
Infusionsoft ICON is always a big thrill for us here at GetUWired. As an Infusionsoft Certified Partner, ICON is kinda like the Academy Awards of our industry. We look forward to it all year, and then enjoy it to the max when it comes.
This year, we got a special treat. We got two opportunities to be on stage speaking to thousands of people each time: one as a finalist for the Elite Business Award, and another as a finalist for the Partner Showcase Award.
Elite Business of the Year Award
Businesses that attended Infusionsoft’s Elite Forum were eligible for the Elite Business of the Year Award.
As one of the finalists in the competition, GetUWired got the chance to get on stage and talk about all the great things that being part of the Elite Forum did for GetUWired. Our CEO Melissa Allen spoke to a full house at the award reception on how the Elite Forum changed our business for the better in a multitude of ways.
“She did an incredible job,” GetUWired Co-Owner Dobbin Buck said. “She talked about our experience with the Elite Forum, its benefits and how we implemented the teachings to great results.”
Getting to see a 50-foot Melissa up on the big screens – lots of them – was the best part!
Partner Showcase Award
The Infusionsoft Small Business ICON award has been around for a while. But now that Infusionsoft is focusing on becoming more partner-centric, they’ve created a new award to match their new efforts – the Partner Showcase Award.
Out of thousands of Infusionsoft Certified Partners, GetUWired was honored to be one of the three finalists for the award.
As such, Dobbin presented a one-hour breakout session with one of our clients, Jeff Corn, founder and CEO of Virtuance. Dobbin rocked one of our signature CABINPUNK shirts as he and Jeff seamlessly weathered some technical difficulties and gave a stunning run-through of the work we did for Virtuance.
Our Booth
One of the benefits of being a finalist in the Partner Showcase Award was that we got a booth area in the Partner End Zone.
That became the GetUWired basecamp for the week. We met with clients and our favorite vendors like Wicked Reports, PlusThis, Memberium, BitBot, and Appointment Core (who happened to win the Developer Showcase Award).
“It was so cool to be able to share our business and our culture with Infusionsoft clientele that stopped by the booth to hang out,” Dobbin said.
So were they coming to learn about GetUWired or just looking to score one of our cool CABINPUNK t-shirts? We’ll never know.
Partner Lunch with Clate Mask
Project Manager Chris Johnessee said one of the highlights of ICON for him was the Partner Lunch.
“It was neat to hear Clate Mask discuss the future of Infusionsoft and talk about how important partners are,” Chris said. “He talked about creating happy employees, which creates happy partners, which creates happy customers, which creates happy shareholders.”
Chris also mentioned that, as an employee of an Infusionsoft-centric business, the things Clate talked about at the lunch really hit home in a personal way.
“It’s good to hear how Infusionsoft is looking to approach the small business market over the next 10-15 years. That gives me a sense of security in my life from a job standpoint – a sense of stability,” Chris said. “And to be able to look at him from 3 feet away and hear how important small businesses are to them – to give them a leg up against big corporations – it was really cool to be a part of that.”
